It's way easier to just go to TeamLiquid to quickly see a list of who is streaming since the list on the homepage here doesn't seem to include very many people. Just saying.
For instance front page is showing CatZ and Grubby on, but not Check (who I see is on if I load WP.tv). :/

I hope so. Bigger than Halo, CoD, and Battlefield atleast.

Haven't watched much 1.6 or Source, but I did watch the US vs EU CS:GO match and thought it rivaled some of the excitment I got from SC2.

It's amazing the number of people that stil play each game. The communities are clearly still very committed. But as en eSport, it's floundering. It's too hard for new people to get into the scene with two games, two communities, and they don't seem too friendly with eachother.
The players and communities both clearly love their respective games, but for Counter Strike to thrive again they need to reunite under one game like they once did. I think that most people realize this. The players seem ready, are the viewers?
If everyone can come together, CS:GO should be one of the premiere titles in the growing list of eSports.

That's like saying soccer = sports. StarCraft is just the most popular eSport worldwide, like soccer is the most popular sport. But baseball, football, and hockey are all sports. Just like Counter Strike, DotA, and Street Fighter are all eSports. Also, StarCraft 2 as an eSport is nothing without Brood War. Pay respect to those around you, and those before you.

Definitely would love to see this streamed. My first suggestion would be posting the link to the stream.

I only played CS a very little, back on the Xbox. But out of all the shooters coming out, this is the one I want most. I don't want Modern Warfare 3, don't want Battfield 3, kinda sorta want Halo: Anniversary, really really want Counter Strike: Global Offensive.
Going into the game relatively new, I'm happy with all the changes being made with the guns and additions of things like the molotov cocktail. Helps bring me, a newbie, closer to the players better than me in learning how to re-use everything.

I agree wtf was with that?
I can enjoy Halo sometimes, I use to watch MLG for it a few years ago but got bored of it.

I never would have guessed he would join Quantic. Great pickup, because he's one of the top Protoss players in the foreign scene.

I say we get Anna out there in a bikini.
But aside from that, production quality seems amazing. I think the scoreboard is really cool, and the general design theme of it all. Also love all the between game content, like Anna's interview with Gordon Hayward.

It's so hard to read this, and therefore so hard to pick out what to say and talk about. I guess here are a few.
First off, e-Sports and ESPN would be amazing. Yes, there are lots of people who might miss out on the event because they might have gotten rid of cable. But those people already watch e-Sports online. The biggest benefit of having something like MLG on ESPN is grabbing those people who don't watch already.
The hardest part is making people on TV understand what is going on, and keep the broadcasts interesting enough for those avid followers. Trying to pull those new viewers in farther without alienating the rest of us complainers online who need everything perfect. Luckily, we have Day9 who is great at that already. So everything goes ok, tons of new people are interested. Where are they told to go? Unfortunately it would probably be TeamLiquid rather than WellPlayed because from a design perspective TL is a terrible website. WP is much easier to navigate and figure out for people who don't usually come to these sites. Also probably MLG's website, which looks nice and professional but is kinda hard to find stuff when you dig deep down into it. Basically my point is our scene isn't very well equipped to welcome new viewers. For example, if my dad flipped to ESPN and loved what he saw in the MLG event he's probably not gonna be able to find out a whole lot more about SC2. ESPN themselves would have to do something.
My other point is in regards to this statement:
Finally if MLG on TV becomes successful then it would be a massive shift towards having the center of StarCraft 2 in the United State because we would be the only one really televising it and as such the Koreans would start to move over here and with both the North American and the Korean training scenes in the same general place the skill level of the game would just increase dramatically
I absolutely do not see Koreans moving here to the US because we televise it. They all know that Korea, where they already live, is the place to be if you want to get better. Plus, Korea already has two channels that specialize in video game content. Ongamenet and MBC Game both already show Brood War, some day they're going to have switch over to SC2 because Brood War can't live forever with SC2's growth and those channels aren't going to want to miss out on any opportunities. Plus based off of the culture in Korea I don't see many of them deciding to leave. They will stay and practice in Korea, and the teams will fly them out for anything important enough.

DeMusliM deserves every viewer he gets on his stream, he's simply just one of the best out there. Both as a player and a streamer.

And IdrA won the whole tournament! Taking down elfi 3-1 in the finals. I believe this means that not only does Slasher have to shave his head, but djWheat as well. Wow I can't wait to see this. I could be absolutely wrong about this, but I believe IdrA gets to shave their heads during the Live On 3 at IPL.

Definitely love the new team pages, but I'd like it if when I clicked on a players stream it stayed on the team page.
