The stream is really well produced. It is also unique and different. Thumbs up IGN and WellPlayed.
21The production is fantastic. IGN and Wellplayed.org are setting the bar higher for content, overlays, info screens, etc. The stats screen at the end of a game is just the icing on the cake. Excellent job so far! If i was to make one recommendation it would be to have a second caster.
10we were promised excellent production value, and i have not been disappointed.
this is absolutely the prettiest league so far and really has raised the bar on what we should be expecting from other leagues. congrats to IGN and fantastic work so far!!!
7This is exactly what I expected production-wise from the WP guys. This looks amazing. IPL fighting!
7I am so impressed with the IPL so far. The casting, the production values, the stream quality and lack of lag whatsoever, the little touches here and there that make the IPL distinctive... everything is professional and of unusually good quality. Good luck IPL--- you have a fan :D
6Wow... now this is impressive. Made an account just to praise the tournament. Definitely going to tune into all of the casts from now on.
5And IPL is free!
My major gripe with the NASL is not that they're having so many issues, but that they had the audacity to charge $25 for the first season before any kinks were ironed out. If you're going to charge a ticket price for "premium access" then customers will have a high expectation of quality, and you'd damn well better meet those expectations.
1Yes, it is awesome so far, although It would be very good to have an intro instead of jumping directly on the first game. And having the stats after each match is very nice but would be even better if it could stay on screen a bit longer. Do we know why Wheat is casting alone ?
IPL had a good start :)
2no way, one of the worst points of the nasl so far has been the excessive introductions. a lot of the time its just not worth it, we are there to watch the action not hear about what happened last time (which in this case is nothing) or what might happen (which we will no doubt see for ourselves).
im so pleased that we dived quickly into the matches and leaving it on the closing page too long is also pretty worthless. you can glance over the stats in the time they are left up and get a great indication of the match.
2I'm very impressed with the IGN Pro League so far. Looks like that with it's current, very appealing production and format, it will have a bright future in e-sports and Starcraft. =)
Great games too, look forward to seeing the storyline progress. Still got my money (or a lack there of) on Kiwikaki and IdrA.
I'd like to know whether or not there will be released replays as well.
3I enjoyed the first day of IGN PL, it was good times.
I believe the reason why it has been going smoother than NASL is because it follows just about every format before it. NASL is an almost daily, seasonal, tourney and most of these guys (players and casters alike) are probably not used to it's commitment requirement. It's trying to do something really big and really awesome while this is just another (equally awesome) 16 man bracket.
One last thing, the IGN PL has some great casters but I wonder why there is only 1 at a time. TotalBisquit is a beast of a caster but it'd be nice to hear a counterpoint to him every once in awhile while he does the play-by-play.
3I have a doubt, all these match are BO3 right ? Because if no one cheese and no one has a clear 2-0 win, it will be a lot a broadcasting time (more than 4 in my opinion).
