There is a lot of talk about the role of hype in the eSports community. ESports personalities like Keekerdc (writer at ESFI) and fams (Social Media Manager at Fnatic) come down on different sides of the issue.
While hype can be tiresome, I agree with fams and cite some specific examples why.

I enjoyed the hype for the Moon announcement. The only problem was the announcement itself was kind of underwhelming. The video of the guy drawing Moon was cool at first but after it was obvious that it was Moon the video still had the guy fixing minor details for like four more minutes. Also they showed a replay of Moon losing. I think Hype is good as long as the hype leads up to something exciting!
