Firstly I’d like to thank JP and Chobopeon (Patrick) for their hard work at making SC Center a place for me to easily catch up on with anything and everything SC related. For that, I think it deserves more attention than it is getting now. Not everyone has the time and/or capacity to absorb every bit of information the world of e-sports and SC has to offer. SC Center, dare I say, is the center where you can get it all in a nice video format. And for all the information I want to know more about, there’s links for me to click to check out. Convenient, no?
So tell all your friends! Spread the word! If you’re looking for a place to get all your SC related updates, SC Center is the place to go!
Go watch the VODs on youtube and subscribe at: http://www.youtube.com/user/itmeJP
Follow JP on twitter www.twitter.com/itmeJP
And follow Chobopeon www.twitter.com/chobopeon
Don’t forget if you have any tips for SC Center please submit it to tips@itmejp.com
JP and Patrick, keep on rocking!
PS. Just started my first cup of coffee, so please excuse any incoherent sentencing and lack of argument.
Pretty great show indeed. I usually don't need to watch it though because I already follow everything so closely!
4I really should watch it more often, but when I do, it's a really good and quick way of catching up on what I've missed in the giant tempest that is the news of the Starcraft 2 world.
3I remember being awful sad when chobopeon stopped doing them way back in the fall and was overjoyed when I saw the return of it with JP. Good work.
3SC center has few viewers, even tho it's professionally produced and has big names participating.
Their problem is that they do not offer anything that cannot be gathered from reading a few headlines here and there. A 2 minute glance at trending topics at TeamLiquid's forum or Reddit Starcraft will give me the same information that I get from watching SC Center.
I think the producers should try to find ways to present content that cannot be gotten elsewhere... my 2 cents.
3The problem that they are solving, though, is that not everyone has time to be always connected to the news outlets or forums. They would prefer a one-stop 15-minute digest of StarCraft news, and that's it. I think what they are doing is great, and even I sometimes hear stuff from them that I hadn't heard yet.

Well that's true of any news show. You can always find out yourself. The entire point of SC Center is to do the work for you and just present it to you in a 15 minute show.
And I don't know what Reddit you go to, but the only trending topics on /r/starcraft today are Artosis' birthday and Idra calling people names.
The reason it has relatively few viewers is partially lack of exposure and partially just the fact that a lot of people don't care about the results of anyone other than their favorite players. They're not the "flip to the sports section" types and just don't find SC Center to be in any way interesting. Also, a lot of people seem to go out of their way to avoid spoilers, because SC2 matches are for them a dramatic narrative that would be ruined by knowing the outcome, and they want to watch the VODs.
SC Center by design only caters to people who are more traditional sports fans and are interested in the results of every tournament.
5SC Center is indeed awesome. I keep up to date on most things, but I usually tune in live or watch sc center on youtube anyway in case there's something I've missed.
Also, they usually record the show live M-F at 5:00 PM CST at itmejp.com
2I wholehearted agree, I have been watching since the SCC since the inception with CP and I am totally blown at the consistent lack of interest by the scene, despite the face lift the and well needed step up in production when JP and CP decided to join forces.
I am forced to watch it on YT because I live in the EU and I have no idea what kind of viewer ship it gets when streamed. Does anyone know?
CP and JP do and amazing job and I only hope that they continue to do it for the sake of people like me who don't have the all the time in the world to follow the tournament streams, threads and postings.
Thanks for the hard work guys, I just wanted to let you know that people do appreciate the your hard work and please please please please continue to do it.
2We had 1K people watching earlier today. I think that's our best live audience yet by a comfortable margin with the previous high being 500 or 600.

To those of you saying SCC is not adequately promoted (I agree), what suggestions do you have on that front? by chobopeon
can you try to make it an event on teamliquid? as it is an ongoing community show, that should be possible. would definitely give you many more viewers.

I think the best way is to provide some sort of must-see content, i.e. progamer special guests once a week or something. Maybe like a player spotlight where you interview a player for 5 minutes. Nothing as in-depth as SotG but more interesting questions than your average G4 thing.
This should get you views, and those who like the rest of the content will tune in again.

This.
I love watching it as it is, but I don't usually have time to closely follow scene news outside of players, so SCC is a great resource to quickly catch on a day's happenings.
But if you can somehow make it more produced -- more than just two guys in front of a webcam -- I think it would draw a lot more people in.
For example, splicing in clips of games yo're talking about, or bringing special guests, etc.
1Love tuning into this show each week. Thanks for spreading the love for it around Wellplayed. :) Every person that is even somewhat invested into the Starcraft scene should be checking these guys out.
2i watched this a few months ago a couple times, haven't kept up with it. Just watched a couple episodes, bookmarked will be following more closely. So hard to keep up with everything............
1definitely agree on that one. they do an awesome job with quality production and content. watch it whenever you can :)
1Indeed it is a great show, but unfortunately it's target demographic probably isn't that large. So many people read TL and /r/starcraft daily that they don't need the content that is being produced. It also doesn't target people just getting into eSports because they are talking about things that are over their head, people who don't know who IdrA really is or how big the TSL really is, etc.
Don't ask me how to fix that though :p
