This is a little bit different than saying, "I am a zerg diamond player looking for others to practice with. Add me to your friends list and cross your fingers that you and I will be on at the same time and wanting to play eachother."

The idea is that you can log onto Battle Net and go to a place where you will find others who are on at the same time and of the same league (which just happens to be diamond in this case). In the channel ask for games. It's a way to play some custom 1v1's (or any other game if you really want to) and practice specific match ups, strategies, maps or just play 1v1's that are not ladder games. You don't have to add a single person to your friends list if you don't want to. If you do want to add players to your friends list, it's a little easier to do on b.net when you're both in the same channel. It also has the advantage of real time chat.

The intention is for players to play practice games, not for competitive games. I ask that everyone be curtious to other players and foster a learning environment. Help others and be helped. And of course just enjoy the game.

Hey! Also if you are Diamond or above the channels: "Game Time" "Diamond+ Practice" Are good, they are always active; i think right now Diamond+ has 60 or so people and Game time has 30. Good channels for setting up practice games.
