WellPlayed.org v.0.5 Patch Notes
Badges! Badges are a way to show off your nerdballer status on WellPlayed.org’s forums. You can earn badges in several ways: - By using WP.org. There are badges for getting karma in the forums. - Being awarded them. WP staff can award people badges. - Tying your BattleNet account to WellPlayed.org. Go to http://wellplayed.org/account to manage your BNet account. This will give you your region and ladder icons.
Once you have a badge you can either show if it off in your public profile’s showcase (Here’s mine: http://wellplayed.org/user/profile/Vindexus ) or view the entire list on your Badges tab, like so http://wellplayed.org/user/profile/Vindexus/badges
Badges can also be used in the forums. Every comment you make can have 1 badge tied to it, to display next to your name on that comment. You can save which badge, if any, to default to and you can switch back and forth depending on how you want to adorn your comment.
Channel Displays If you view the now live list you’ll notice that channels display differently on the site. They now feature a Follow button as well as their stream’s thumbnail and viewer count.
WPTV Games Saving When you select which games you want to view from the “Games” dropdown on WellPlayed.tv, it will remember your selection the next time you return. This is saved to your user account if you’re logged in, or to your computer if you are not.
You now also have the ability to manage streams using the multi-streaming menu in the header. Need to get rid of a stream? No need to remember shortcuts or search for the close icon. Just use the multi-streaming menu to close it.
Transparent Background Favicon It doesn’t have a white background and is more visually appealing as a result. Hurrah!

WellPlayed.org v.0.1 Patch Notes
Since we launched WellPlayed.org on April 4th we've had almost 300 revisions to our code base. Those revisions range from adjusting the placement of a single icon by one pixel to implementation of round robin brackets to be utilized by tournaments like North American Star League (NASL).
Some of the larger changes we're proud of providing to everyone in this update are:
- We now have Twitter integration with channels which means Channel owners can now have their channel automatically republish tweets as channel updates.
- Channel updates can now be commented on with each update having its own discussion thread.
- Forum navigation has been changed in two ways: (1) the Forums homepage now displays the hottest content by default and (2) a full list of forums with some of the hottest sub-forums are now in the sidebar.
Here are some of the smaller changes we've implemented:
- Editing threads now works properly.
- You can now create your own Channel.
- Channel update times now display correctly.
- Channel filters persist between page changes.
- You are now directed to login before being able to post a reply.
- The Channels you are following are now correctly listed at "www.wellpayed.org/channels/following
- Icons in username slide-down menu no longer change to arrows when clicked.
- Upvote counts now properly reflected in Rising Channels list.
- You can now upvote items other people are following.
- We now have permalinks for comments.
- You can now respond to channel posts.
- Concluded events no longer appear in the Upcoming Events list.
Thank you all for your patience, support, and suggestions over the past week. We've put a lot of time and effort into getting things changes out as quick as we could and we'll continue to release updates periodically.
Again, thank you for your contributions and don't forget to submit any bugs and/or suggestions you may have in the Technical Support forum.
We now have Twitter integration with channels which means Channel owners can now have their channel automatically republish tweets as channel updates.
Check out NASL's channel to see how it's grabbing their tweets and making them into updates.
6Hiding down voted comments is a good idea, however I reckon three is a little too low of a number seeing as how quick people are to downvote things they disagree with... Just a thought, really fantastic site guys.
5Fantastic set of changes. I couldn't be more impressed with this one. So happy to see how things are moving along.
5Search feature looks great.
However when I'm in a thread it sticks out a little farther than everything else , on the homepage it doesn't, but once in a thread it sticks out farther than the forum navigation and the title-bar. Not sure if that was intentional but to me it looks odd.
Edit: The search bar appears to be in line now and fixed, not sure why it did that before. So ignore my comment.
It's awesome to see the site progress so quickly.
4Hi Fear! Love the Battle.net integration. Do you think you might be able to do new features that would let WP'ers play other WP'ers easily? With integration of accounts, you can really make some cool features that tie the game with the community further together.
The channel selection screen at the very top is very slick! Love the fact it's at the top right, easily discoverable and accessible.
Another solid update from the award winning team!
4Love these changes, especially the profile integration. Some of the changes to the forum will take some getting used to (obviously), but I think they are good nonetheless.

You know what this means, you guys? It means that when you click on a tab below a stream, it NO LONGER REFRESHES THE WHOLE PAGE AND MAKES LIFE MISERABLE! :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D
HappyMan is happy.
